Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account details: name, company name (clients), email, mobile phone number, password (stored only as a secure hash), language.

Booking details: job-site address, arrival instructions, dates and times, prices, tax option chosen and any tax-exemption certificate or statement you provide.

Painter details: home ZIP code and travel radius, day rate, documents you upload (such as ID, insurance or licenses), test and approval records, ratings and reliability records.

Job-day details: check-in and check-out times and location (painters, only at check-in/check-out), photos sent when a client can't be found, in-app chat messages.

Payment details are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store full card or bank numbers; we keep only references and the last 4 digits.

Technical details: IP address, browser type, and an activity log of important account actions, for security and fraud prevention.

How we use it

To run the marketplace: create accounts, match clients with available painters, take bookings, process payments and payouts, collect and remit sales tax, and handle cancellations, appeals and problems.

To send service messages by email and, if you opted in, by text message (booking confirmations, job reminders, painter arrival/status updates and account alerts).

To keep the service safe: verify painters, prevent fraud and misuse, and keep records required by law.

Text messages (SMS)

We text you only if you ticked the text-message consent box. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Who we share it with

The other party to a booking sees only what the job needs: painters see "your client", the job town and arrival instructions shortly before the job; clients see the painter's first name, rating and status. Phone numbers and emails are hidden in chat.

Service providers that run Painter Day for us, only to provide the service: hosting and database, payment processing (Stripe), email delivery and text-message delivery. They may not use your data for their own marketing.

Authorities, when the law requires it (for example tax records), or to protect people's safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

Account and booking records are kept while your account is open and afterwards as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal reasons. Chat messages and job photos are kept for a limited time and then deleted, except when needed for a reported problem.

Your choices and rights

You can update your details in your account, stop text messages by replying STOP, and ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information (Connecticut residents have these rights under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act). Email us at dovid@6dprosolutions.com.

Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, two-step sign-in for administrators and access logging. No system is perfectly secure; tell us right away if you suspect misuse of your account.

Children

Painter Day is for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
